Dennis was very responsive and punctual for the initial estimate. He carefully measured and took pictures. His proposal was very easy to read and understand and had an excellent rendering of the items in my yard to be stained. Flor and Doug were extremely careful when pressure washing my 20-year-old deck and cedar fence. They then carefully sanded the deck surface. They worked from near sunrise to sunset, preparing the deck and then interacted with me on the stain color choice. My deck and fence look brand new! They were so professional, polite, and left no trace behind that they were there. I highly recommend Stumpy’s Deck Restoration!

They took out old deteriorating cedar deck and put in a beautiful composite deck. They provided sample of the material they would use, they showed renditions of what it would look like in my home . We researched many companies and found Stumps’s to be the one we wanted to work with to build a new deck. Dennis met with us a few times and we came up with a plan. Dennis was awesome to work with. His team build us our new deck. They were very hard working and built the deck to perfection. Everyone was so pleasant and wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend Stumpy’s. We had Stumpy’s team come and take our the carpeting in the great room, sun room and on the stairs. They replaced it all with vinyl planking. They also put in new tiles in the entry way to our home. Everything turned out absolutely gorgeours. The way the planking was layed and tiles were placed were so strategic the design was incredible and took great craftmanship.

They also stained the new deck they build for us. Once again beautiful. This team is so awesome at what they do. Perfection, hardworking and such nice people. I can’t say enough on how beautifull the work they did in my home is.

I am going to have them take out the carpet in the downstairs of my split level and have them put in the same vinyl planking. Then my remodel will be complete. This team is so great I wouldn’t even consider hiring anyone else.

My downstairs has been completed. The vinyl planking was installed in my bedrooms and hallway. I’m ecstatic with the outcome. Once again perfection. I am so glad I found Stumpy’s Deck Restoration to do the remodel of my home. Their work is flawless and the crew is outstanding. Wonderful team. I will be having them do the work to keep my deck maintained in the future. It will be great to keep in contact with them. I’ve gotten to know them well and enjoy their company.

I am part of a 5-unit, condo association and we had our deck rebuilt this spring (2021) by Stumpy’s Deck. We are very happy with the service we received and the work they did.

Our building is a 137 year old, Victorian house that has a large, 3-story deck in the back. We knew it would be a challenge finding someone who could take on this size of a deck attached to an old house.

We worked with Dennis Pitzel, owner of Stumpy’s Deck, and he was very easy to work with and helped guide us to some improvements we hadn’t thought about. At one point in the beginning of the process, he met with us to answer any questions about the process and the materials that he suggested. Whenever we had a question or concern, he was quick to respond with an email or phone call.

Daniel and his team of workers also did a great job, especially having to work in a tight spot on such a large deck.

We are delighted with our new deck and have been enjoying it all summer!
